Last Friday we had the pleasure of performing at the Regent Hall on Oxford Street. This wasn't our first rodeo at "The Rink", having performed there back in March 2025, and we were greeted with the ever lively Regent Hall regulars.
We performed a vibrant programme consisting of French and American composers, with arrangements featuring each member of the ensemble. John's lovely rendition of The Girl with the Flaxen Hair was particularly popular with the audience. And Sam's arrangement of Porgy and Bess Suite received a slight update with a new movement premiered: I Got Plenty O'Nuttin.

Thank you to Stephen for having us back and for letting us use the hall earlier that week for rehearsals. We are also very grateful to Sam and Nona who brilliantly stepped in on Trombone and Tuba respectively. Sam's wonderful tone and ensemble skills made him a key perfomer in the section and Nona's deep, rich sound provided a lovely foundation for the ensemble to be supported by.
